Job Description:
Positions reports to Quality Operations Leader. Provides leadership, technical support and direction to Plant Operations and Quality Assurance during the design, development, enhancement, revision and implementation of the quality systems for the efficient manufacturing of products and processes. Provides support and expertise on problem solving and process improvements and the usage of quality tools. Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures such as Design Control, Process Validation, Test Method Validation, and Sampling Plan Development and Review.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Provide QAE and technical consulting to corporate, plant, and R&D projects as needed. Utilize Project Tracking Sheet.
2. Provide expertise in the design, development, and implementation of suitable quality systems for new or existing products & processes. Facilitate the design transfer process between corporate and plant environments.
3. Ensure compliance with applicable company policies and procedures such as Design Control, Validations, Sampling Plans, etc., in alignment with the regulations.
4. Provide statistical expertise and data analysis for projects involving the design, development, or validation of new or existing products/processes. Develop or modify sampling plans for new or existing processes/products.
5. Develop, write and approve as required policies, procedures, test methods, specifications.
6. Conduct internal audits and external (supplier, contractor, contract laboratory) audits, in QSR’s and ISO9000, as well as assessments of technical, engineering, operations, & quality related areas.
7. Apply Quality Engineering tools such as Failure Mode & Effects Analysis (FMEA), Fault Three Analysis (FTA), Root Cause Analysis, Design of Experiment (DOE) etc., to the development of new products or processes; and in solving process/product-related problems. Promote and apply Process Excellence Methodology for products/processes/systems improvement.
8. Apply principles of metrology/calibration, reliability, Computer System Validation (CSV) as required.
9. Provide support to Operations on quality Assurance/Control issues as required such as:
a. Training/Consultation on quality concepts, quality technology tools, nonconformance and investigations.
b. Quality Indicators Monitoring and Reporting
c. Statistical Analysis
d. Problem Solving
e. Process Improvements
10. Ensure safe working conditions and practices in the department
