Primary Responsibilities The Academic Program Director for the Department of Integrative Medicine and Nutritional Sciences is responsible for the leadership and administration of the specified Integrative Medicine certificate programs and Masters degree, which includes curriculum development, management of courses, recruitment and admissions support, oversight of the student advising function, program administration, faculty development and continuing quality improvement.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Curriculum Development / Faculty
- Oversees curriculum development for a series of new courses and certificates that will have in-person modules and online content
- Monitors program content, course syllabi, and faculty performance
- Monitors related scientific environment and recommend curricula to meet emerging trends and needs
- Recommends new modes of course content delivery to meet emerging teaching and learning needs
- Responsible for content development in partnership with content experts
- Monitors program content, course syllabi, and faculty performance, through periodic course surveys and other feedback mechanisms
- Collaborates with faculty to ensure course content is aligned with program goals
- In conjunction with program faculty and administration, monitor related scientific environment and recommend curricula to meet emerging trends and needs
Program Administration
- Assists with internal and external accrediting agency review and audit of program
- Assists with recruitment of faculty instructors
- Organizes curriculum content into experiential and online modules
- Ensures timetables are met for curriculum development
- Monitors students' satisfactory academic progress with respect to program requirements, coursework, and clerkship/thesis milestones
- Ensures all student reports/milestones are met as required by program
- Assists with the management of internal and external research and internship affiliations
- Serves on designated committees
- Assists with preparation of documents and reports related to program goals and performance
Admissions / Recruitment
- Reviews completed applications upon notification from Office of Admissions & Enrollment
- Informs Admissions of decisions to accept, request more information, or reject selected applications so that interviews are scheduled in a timely fashion
- Interview selected applicants and advise Admissions of decision
- Represents the program at recruitment forums such as info sessions, open houses, orientations, and at off-campus visits
- Contributes to marketing and communications efforts, including website, print, electronic, and social media resources
- Works with VP and Chair to plan enrollment targets and program budget
QUALIFICATIONS:
