*** Our client, a Financial Institution is hiring an Accounting  Associate .
This position will support the Finance & Operations  Team.
Compensation: Commensurate with candidate experience plus fringe benefits.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Collaborate in the development and management of the company budget, including creating, reviewing, and adjusting budgets for new initiatives to ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Prepare and maintain monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to monitor and assess organizational performance.
Manage payroll processes, including setting up new hires, resolving discrepancies, and processing terminations in partnership with HR.
Oversee accounts payable activities, including managing approval requests and vendor payments to ensure financial accountability.
Support the preparation and analysis of financial forecasts and budgets related to operational activities.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related CPA a plus 3+ year of relevant experience in a similar role Experience with financial modeling, forecasting, and budgeting.
Attention to detail in preparing and reviewing financial statements and reports.
Previous experience working or auditing government accounting is a plus.
