*Job Summary*
As an Accountant, you will play a crucial role in the financial management of the company. You will be responsible for financial auditing, forecasting, analysis, and tax preparation to ensure the company's financial health and compliance with regulations.
*Responsibilities*
* Perform general cost accounting and other related duties within the accounting department. This includes bookkeeping and monthly book closing.
* Prepare periodic (monthly) financial statements: balance sheets, and profit and loss statements.
* Maintain the general ledger, ensuring all financial transactions are accurately recorded.
* Reconcile bank accounts at least monthly, verify deposits and close the monthly books
* Verify payment of invoices associated with accounts payable and ensure payments are charged to the appropriate accounts.
* Ensure payments withholdings are accurate, and deposits are made through the government agency's portal.
* Manage accounts receivable collections, ensuring timely and accurate payments.
* Provide outside auditors with assistance; gather necessary account information and documents to perform annual audits.
* File required tax forms with federal, state, and local government agencies. It includes Quarterly Payroll Tax Forms.
* Create and submit annual W2 and 480.6 forms.
* Ensure compliance with all tax regulations and requirements.
* Manage payroll processing and ensure accurate bi-weekly payroll execution.
* Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards.
* Conduct internal audits to assess compliance and financial integrity.
*Professional Experience and Skills Requirements*
* Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3-5 years of related experience and/or training in accounting.
* Proficiency in accounting software and integrated business applications (QuickBooks)..
* Experience in payroll processing and management.
* Fully bilingual.
* Motivated team player who can maintain efficiency and accuracy when multitasking.
