Expeditors is headquartered in Seattle, Washington. The Puerto Rico Expeditors branch is hiring for an Accounting Agent. The ideal candidate will be a team player, and have willingness to grow, learn and work hard. Must be willing and able to multi-task and enjoy a fast-paced day to day. We are looking for a person who enjoys a professional and dynamic work environment. Some of the responsibilities include: Propose and draft journal entries Strong GL knowledge – will determine how transactions are registered Register, revise, submit invoices into the accounting system Process disbursements Register deposits Prepare and post monthly journal entries as assigned Investigate GL details Assist in the implementation of new corporate policies and accounting pronouncements, as needed BBA- major in Accounting No previous accounting experience required (entry-level) Bilingual – Spanish and English, verbal and written Detail-oriented Proficiency in Microsoft Office (principally in Excel) Team player Available to work overtime as required Expeditors offers excellent benefits Paid Vacation, Holiday, Sick Time Health Plan: Medical, Prescription Drug, Dental and Vision Life and Long Term Disability Insurance CODA Employee Stock Purchase Plan Training and Personnel Development Program All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
