JOB SUMARY: Responsible for Accounting Speciaist tasks functions including paying vendors, gathering of vendor credit applications, creating vendors in Windchill, collecting tax information from vendors, answering questions related to accounts payable. Responsible to perform tasks involving analysis plus work internal and external audits. Applies principles of accounting to analyze financial information and reconcile accounts. Responsible to understand how financial reporting system works and ensure the accounting and processes followed are correct and accurate. RESPONSIBILITIES: Application of collection receipts, discounts and adjustments. Creation of manual credits along with application of credit memos in AR. IC Portal & IC Receivables – Upload agreements, invoices and statements plus work and settle all IC Issues. In charge of closing AR module each month and work correction of errors, if any. Send RTR checklist. Cash Disbursements Reconciliation in Cash Management module. Work the sales, use tax process (IVU law understanding), and create all exemption certificates in Vertex. Intercompany payments in bank and settlement upload in IC Portal. Collect information, analyze and process assigned monthly journal entries. Analyze and reconcile assigned accounts from sub ledger to general ledger and follow up on aging reconciling items. Responsible of acting as R12 super-user for regression testing and/or be the link with the SMART team for financial reporting system issues. Create a good level of understanding and know how between these modules: AR & Cash Management. Perform and act as a Sox tester for the area of accounts receivable, intercompany transactions, cash management and/or any other area assigned. Other task or analysis as requested. Flexibility to work overtime/weekends, as required. Responsible for keeping information confidential. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in accounting from four-year College or university; and seven or more years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products. Working knowledge of accounting system software's, preferable Oracle R12 or any prior version. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to management. Fluent in English and Spanish. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
