Key Responsibilities
* Operations & Logistics:
* Supervise and coordinate all daily packing activities, ensuring adherence to quality standards, food safety regulations, and production schedules.
* Optimize packing line efficiency, identifying and implementing improvements to reduce waste and increase throughput.
* Monitor inventory of finished goods and raw produce, coordinating with our farm operations for timely supply.
* Implement and maintain strict hygiene and sanitation protocols within the packing facility.
* Dispatch finished orders accurately and on time, coordinating with logistics partners.
* Manage, train, and motivate a team of packing associates, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
* Schedule shifts and allocate tasks to ensure optimal staffing levels.
* Generate and process invoices for dispatched orders, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
* Utilize Microsoft Excel extensively for data tracking, reporting, inventory management, and creating production summaries.
* Purchase and manage inventory of all packing materials (boxes, bags, labels, etc.), negotiating with suppliers for cost-effectiveness.
* Perform various accounting-related errands for the farm, which may include banking, documentation, and coordination with our accounting department.
Qualifications
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (advanced functions preferred) for data analysis, reporting, and inventory management.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for errands.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree or higher in Agronomy, Agricultural Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
* Knowledge of produce handling, quality control, and food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GAP).
