Role Summary:
Administrative Support will be responsible for scheduling, planning purchased material both direct and indirect, as well as external and internal (GE) vendors. You will track / monitor material’s metrics & disciplines in SAP system. You will also have inherent to plant inventory targets, deflation projects, and overall material initiatives, such as: stocking, minimum order quantity & LT reductions and supplier consolidations.

Essential Responsibilities:
As Administrative Support , you will:
Prepare a daily production schedule for the manufacturing area assigned including all necessary changes considering material availability and equipment capacity
Plan/purchase material (both direct / indirect; external / internal), maintaining within established targets / budgets
Own stock-in programs, which include weekly report-outs on consumption (input / output tracking)
Maintain SAP system parameters to ensure supplier parameters accuracy, and meet plant’s inventory targets
Work the Maturity Model Report daily to maintain the target % on scheduling and purchasing areas
Work the COGI report daily to ensure the correction on exception messages for assigned inventory material
Assist suppliers with issues brought to attention, ensure resolution within 72 hours
Escalate purchase material issues to Global Sourcing to ensure proper and timely resolution
Be liaison between supplier & quality department to ensure that quality issues reach full resolution
Active involvement in all material initiatives such as MOQ & lead-time reductions & supplier consolidations
Interact daily with production to proactively solve material shortage situations, to meet and/or resolve customer demands
Be a key participant in Gemba walks
Work with reports such as FSOW, RM and RK, as well as any other to pull customer demands and/or requirements as planning tool
Active involvement in VCP and deflation projects, contributing directly to plant’s overall goals
Adherence to all EHS practices & procedures
Assist Supervisor in any development and/or update of reports and analysis required for Materials department

Bachelor's Degree in Material Management, Business Administration or Engineering
Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing

Materials / Supply Chain knowledge
APICS Certified
Green Belt Certified
Strong time management, organization and customer service skills required
Fluent English and Spanish (verbal & written)
Good communication & interpersonal skills
Strategic thinker, results oriented and exceptional energy / drive
Proven teamwork and negotiation skills
Proficiency in SAP System and Microsoft Office
Good working habits: punctual & good assistance record; in compliance with company working policies & procedures
