We are looking for an Assistant Branch Manager for our Aguadilla Branch. In this role, you will lead branch employees to achieve branch and credit union goals. In conjunction with the Branch Manager you will: hire, coach, and provide performance management for the branch staff. Qualified candidates will have at least 2 years' experience in financial services in both sales and operations. Having previous consumer lending experience will help you succeed in this role. Job duties
Manage the daily operations of the department and ensure that procedures and practices are in alignment with credit union expectations
Partner with Manager in developing a team of highly motivated, results-oriented individuals through effective leadership practices; ensure adequate staffing levels to maintain efficient team performance
Meet established department goals with minimal supervision; update Manager on all major projects, employee issues and goal progress
Achieve staff results by communicating performance expectations; planning, monitoring and appraising job results; coaching, counseling and disciplining employees
Maintain and enforce systems, policies, procedures and productivity standards
Research, resolve and communicate operational issues and potential problems to Manager and/or other business units
Recognize and manage risk within department
Essential skills
Minimum 1-3 years’ previous operations experience in a mid-size department with in-depth knowledge of business unit functions
Minimum 1-3 years’ previous experience leading a team of diverse individuals, including hiring, coaching and performance management
Minimum 2 years’ previous experience as a financial solutions representative and/or senior branch representative or equivalent
Minimum 1 year consumer lending experience including auto, lines of credit and credit cards
Previous success motivating and developing team members to achieve department and credit union goals
