Seeking a talented individual to fill a highly critical position in Supply Chain affording exposure to innumerable facets of Collins Aerospace's robust and expanding business in the Puerto Rico site. The highly motivated team player filling this position will have the opportunity to team with Global Operations and Strategic Business Units (SBU's), program management, spares management, the supply chain organization and the external supply base at large. He / she will exercise a valuable skill-set by cultivating relationships with the aforementioned entities and acting as one of Collins Aerospace's focal points for its supply chain management efforts. Primary Responsibilities: The responsibilities include supervising a global buying team, coordinating, implementing, and leading supply chain and procurement activities on the Puerto Rico business. Responsibilities also include driving on-time delivery, lead-time reduction; purchase material cost containment, and sustained quality improvement. This candidate must possess ability to manage and drive supplier alliances, drive optimization in the procurement process with incorporation of our digital systems and tools, and support all Global Operations supply chain customer requirements associated with Puerto Rico site and their customers. This individual will be responsible for management of the supply chain and purchasing team, demand management, supplier administration, assist with negotiations, and supply chain continuous improvement and strategy to improve demand. The chosen candidate will monitor and improve purchasing key performance indicators including but not limited to "on-time" order placement, delivery performance, Quality including parts per million (PPM) and escapes, return-to-vendor (RTV), and other metrics. The individual will also be the primary focal ensuring compliance of all purchase orders and purchasing process improvements. Finally, this individual will be driving requirements for an Accenture team which is supporting the Puerto Rico site. General Responsibilities: Owns the operations of all phases of Procurement for client accounts or product families in accordance with financial goals and technical strategy. Develops sourcing and procurement operational goals, anticipating changes in price trends and manufacturing processes. Directs the resolution of client issues or problems. Approves and qualifies larger and more complex vendors to fulfill account needs. Directs processes and strategy for complex request for proposals (RFP) and bid packages Directs and manages all schedules, and purchase orders for the client account or the product family. Ensures product is delivered on time, meets quality standards, and at the right cost. May perform delivery assurance responsibilities. Basic Qualifications: This position requires a Bachelor's degree in the appropriate discipline and 10 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree in the appropriate discipline and 8 years of relevant experience. In the absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience is required. Preferred Qualifications: Ability to demonstrate career progression and leadership experience ERP/MRP/SAP experience preferred Electronics and/or Mechanical component background a plus, Nothing matters more to Collins Aerospace than our strong ethical and safety commitments.
