Automation Technician

Description

To provide support in the automation department. The candidate must have solid GMP’s experience and knowledge in the Medical device and Pharmaceutical Industry practices. It will work with PLC, Vision cameras, sensors, control hardware, indicators and industrial computers.

Essential Duties:
Gives support as Automation Technician:Mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, experience and programming knowledge in PLC (Allen Bradley), HMI and Cognex Vision System. Automation technician perform routine diagnostic checks on automated systems, monitor automated systems, isolate problems and perform repairs. Must be able to evaluate and suggest improvements.

Skill and Requirements:
Technical skills in the following areas:electrical systems, PLC programming, mechanical installation, software drawing.

Minimum 5 years’ experience in PLC Controllers (Allen Bradley / Omron), ladder logic programming and troubleshooting.

Automated based Equipment troubleshooting.

Advise and consult on any mechanical, electrical or controls changes that might be required.

Knowledge on Safety, Lock Out / Tag out safety program required.

Able to work with minimum supervision.

Basic oral and written communications skills (English & Spanish)

Willing to work overtime including weekends

Education:
B.S. Degree in Engineering Technology
