Barista Cashier

*Duties*

* Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately using POS (Point of Sale)
* Prepare a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages following established recipes and quality standards
* Operate cash registers, handle cash transactions, process credit/debit payments, and give accurate change using POS systems
* Maintain cleanliness and organization of the café area, including food preparation stations and seating areas
* Ensure food safety and proper food handling procedures are followed at all times
* Assist with basic food preparation tasks such as assembling sandwiches or snacks when needed
* Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions, resolving issues promptly, and creating a welcoming atmosphere for all guests

*Qualifications*

* Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred
* Proven cashiering skills with experience in POS systems
* Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently while maintaining quality service
* Excellent communication skills to interact positively with customers and team members
* Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
* Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and retail math calculations
* Experience in food service or retail environments is advantageous but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential
