*Position Summary:*
ApuestaPR is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable *Betting Advisor* to provide guidance, support, and education to users of our online sports betting platform. As a Betting Advisor, you will be the front-line representative helping customers navigate odds, understand betting types, place wagers responsibly, and resolve account-related inquiries. You'll play a key role in promoting a safe, informed, and engaging user experience.
This position requires strong communication skills, a deep understanding of sports and betting markets, and a commitment to responsible gaming practices.
*Key Responsibilities:*
*Customer Support & Education*
* Assist customers in understanding betting options, markets, odds, and payout structures.
* Answer user inquiries via chat, email, or phone related to account issues, deposits, withdrawals, promotions, and platform navigation.
* Educate players about responsible gaming and betting best practices.
*Betting Guidance & Engagement*
* Provide tips, tutorials, and insights (within regulatory boundaries) to enhance user experience.
* Collaborate with marketing to support promotions by explaining bonus mechanics or betting incentives.
* Track key sports events and help users understand popular betting options available.
*Compliance & Responsible Gaming*
* Ensure all interactions follow company guidelines and Puerto Rico Gaming Commission regulations.
* Identify and flag suspicious activity or user behavior that may indicate problem gambling or fraud.
* Guide users to self-exclusion tools and support resources when necessary.
*Operational Support*
* Assist in identifying bugs or UX issues and escalate to the product or technical teams.
* Support internal teams by providing feedback from users regarding betting trends or product improvements.
* Keep updated with the platform's features, market changes, and new promotional offerings.
*Qualifications & Experience:*
* High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate or Bachelor's degree in Business, Sports Management, or related field preferred.
* 1–3 years of experience in customer service, preferably in online betting, gaming, or a regulated industry.
* Solid understanding of *sports betting types, odds formats, and betting markets* (parlays, spreads, moneylines, etc.).
* Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Tech-savvy; comfortable using web platforms, CRM tools, and live chat systems.
* Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays based on live sports schedules.
* *Bilingual (Spanish and English)* required.
