General Description 13;
The Business Analyst assess business issues/needs, designs, and executes data mining plans, performs primary and secondary analysis, report preparation, research and presentations of moderate difficulty on a wide range of projects. Assignments typically involve quantitative analysis, secondary analysis of internal and external data, integration of data from different sources, data/knowledge management, evaluation of analysis, and knowledge transference.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities 13;
:Works in partnership with the Knowledge Manager and Marketing staff to provide a holistic and integrated view of business opportunities to the business units.
:Performs database analysis that leverage the breadth and depth of customer and business information available. Prepares and disseminates, as appropriate, customer profiles and other sensitive customer related information.
:Devises methods and procedures for obtaining, maintaining and updating customer related data, including the collection, coding, and tabulation. Leads the evaluation of the data as well as the database development and maintenance.
:Assists the Knowledge Manager in the integration of market data from all sources (customer survey and qualitative data, customer databases, market measures, competitive intelligence, market assessments, industry reports, etc.)
:Manages database suppliers and consultants contracts, market analyst projects, schedule coordination, and inter:functional coordination and communication.
:Prepares reports for management and internal clients, presenting the results of research and analysis.
:Helps train internal clients in data mining, analysis and knowledge extraction.
:Helps facilitate processes to translate knowledge into strategic direction.
:Leads knowledge transfer in his/her area of responsibility.
:Manages projects as assigned.

Minimum Education 13;
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration or Industrial Engineering 13;

Experience 13;
Two 2 years of experience in data mining, research,market analysis and/or data management, financial analysis or other related fields.

:Working knowledge of data management, including database and spreadsheet applications, with the ability to use moderately complex models or specialized computer applications.
:Advanced statistical analysis skills. Specifically, ability advanced analysis methodologies, interpret and present findings in a clear, concise manner, including the creation and use of tables, charts and graphics to summarize results.
:Proficient in statistical programs like SPSS, SAS, R and / or data processing tools like SQL, Power Pivot, FoxPro and Cognos.
:Ability to evaluate design, analysis and conclusions based on database information.
:Ability to prepare clear and comprehensive reports.
:Ability to make sound decisions in a consistent manner with essential job functions.
:Excellent oral and communication skills, both in English and Spanish.
