City: St. Cloud State: Florida Business Development Manager – St. Cloud, FL Position Summary: The purpose of this position is to identify and pursue potential new customers, successfully culminating in the sale of our services. This will be achieved through targeted sales efforts and proactive outreach. The successful candidate will have a professional demeanor and proven record of sales. The candidate should display a strong personal drive for success and possess interpersonal skills highlighting communications excellence and a 'self starter' attitude. This position works within the Florida Operations division and reports to the local Business Unit Manager. Objectives / Tasks / Responsibilities: Acquire basic operational knowledge regarding new products and/or markets to create targeted marketing objectives for new business streams and actively pursue these opportunities. Responsible for driving the sales process from beginning (research and identification) to end (planning, launch and execution of program). Learn and understand all Bureau Veritas divisions for cross selling opportunities. Define and understand client's needs, objectives, and expectations to identify additional BVNA services that can be offered to fully maximize the company's engagement with the client. Research potential clients through provided market research databases and lead generation systems. Fully understand client organization, their business model, goals and strategies (including leadership personnel, key initiatives, news and financials) to drive business development activities. Form strongclient relationships including day-to-day contact up through executive level Review client's expectations with BVNA's performance and assist with problem resolution, if needed. Create and maintain a client list (potential and active) including: name, title, phone numbers, and email. Develop and implement plans, targeted sales strategies and business growth strategies in coordination with Business line, Operations and Executive Management. Provide input for monthly sales reporting and forecasting. Ability to interface and effectively work with various groups and cultures involved (partners, government, agencies, contractors, operations, etc.), and gain alignment to achieve objectives. Manage andparticipate in new tenders and bids for new projects within the designated region or geographic territory. This would include understanding market changes, learning new players and making introduction with key decision makers. Enlist the support of other Sales Representatives, Business Development Managers, Marketing support and operational management resources as needed. Respond to web leads, as needed. Assist in contract management, to include yearly renewals/updates as well as contract analysis to identify opportunities for increasing revenues. Manage price negotiation, discounts, contracts, RFP's between client and BVNA related parties. Ensure that new contracts undergo the proper review with heavy emphasis on risk management. Coordinate with other members of the Business Development Team to ensure consistent business development performance across the US and globally. Develop short and long terms sales forecasts to achieve assigned sales targets. Meet or exceed the annual stated new sales goals both on an individual basis and for the division. Sell services within pricing scope as defined by Operations. Monitor, identify and communicate to relevant parties any risk or opportunities based on continuous review of the health of the account. Accountable for increase and decrease in client sales (new and recently launched). Provide support with recruiting to ensure successful execution of contracts. Ability to effectively articulate and present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Must possess strong communication (verbal and written), analytical, organizational, and time management skills as well as excellent presentation skills. Ability to communicate at all levels with both internal and external executives, regulators, and municipal officials. Assist with proposals and follow-up with clients through the execution of signed contracts. Participate and relay information obtained from attendance at regulatory/industry and professional meetings. Provide weekly updates of customer visits including travel required for client meetings, internal meetings and tradeshows. Prepare for and participate in client meetings and presentations, training seminars and/or tradeshows. Prioritize, delegate tasks to appropriate staff and perform required follow up. Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, market information papers. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Interpret technical information and translate into common terminology. Proven ability to balance multiple competing priorities, meet deadlines, be responsive and thrive in a team environment. Demonstrated ability to develop and lead sales forecasting activities, budget development, and performance goals. Strong emphasis in client acquisition and development,valuations, and competitor analysis. Strong analytical, problem solving, attention to detail and process improvement skills. Ability to multi-task, be results oriented and work with initiative (independently and in a team environment), and work well under pressure and handle crisis situations.
