Location: HXPR: UTAS Expat Puerto Rico Remote Location, Remote City, CT, 06032 USA This role is for a seasoned professional responsible for documenting functional and interface specifications for the development of Advanced Planning Optimization (APO) objects. These specifications will help to define and or redefine current and or future functionality. In addition, the individual will propose new functionality or improvements to the existing process and multitask between production support and project activities. The candidate will be focused in supporting and maintaining the following areas: APO – Advanced Planning Optimization DP
- Demand Planning SNP
- Supply Network Planning PPDS – Production Planning/Detailed Scheduling GATP
- Global Available to Promise CIF – Core Interface (Including interfaces between APO, BW and ECC) Primary Responsibilities: Identifies and analyzes the routine to moderately complex requirements of a business unit or department that can be fulfilled through the use of information technology systems. Analyzes current business and technical processes for an assigned area to determine where system updates or new systems are needed. Coordinates with business and technology teams to ascertain system requirements, such as program functions, output requirements, input data acquisition, execution of users acceptance Assist with system testing and establish system techniques and controls. Performs configuration management and release engineering tasks to ensure new software product operating parameters are documented, comply with standard hardware configurations, and are logistically sustainable. Analyzes existing system logic to assess alignment with business unit or department need. Collaborates with application development teams to analyze system functionality issues. Works to select, implement, develop, maintain and support business systems and digital applications through understanding business processes and their implications and applying process improvement concepts for simplification and productivity to support business goals and objectives. Manages external vendors. Aligns digital services, service levels, technology, vendor/supplier management, and initiatives with business strategies and needs. Represents the digital technology in enterprise/corporate initiatives. Acts as a digital technology contact and advocates for delivery of high quality digital services. Works with Security/Compliance, Infrastructure, and Project Management Groups to manage and document the digital technology portfolio. Responsible for alignment of business systems technology selection, programming, configuring and testing of both new applications and legacy systems, which requires knowledge of systems architecture, development processes for improved design, as well as understanding of systems integration for applications. Qualifications: Basic Qualifications: Must be a U.S. Citizen Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of relevant experience OR Advance degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR In absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience is required 5 years of industry and/or IT work experience in the areas of SAP | APO
- DP, SNP and GATP or related Ability to create and/or maintain the planning areas, planning books, and data views Experience with Industry standard ERP system implementations (Full Life Cycle) Organizational agility and have the communication skills to influence others Ability to communicate effectively with technical, non-technical customers and team members Preferred Qualifications: 5+ years of industry and/or IT work experience in the areas of SAP | APO
- DP, SNP and GATP or related Maintenance and ability to troubleshoot the Core Interface (CIF) between APO and SAP Understanding of SAP ECC MM, SD, PP modules Understanding of MRP Planning, BOM, Routing, Material Master Planning parameters Ability to setup MPOS characteristics, Info cubes, full knowledge of RSA1 transaction and how to send and receive data to and from BW and ECC Working knowledge of SNP master data for planning, production and distribution Working knowledge of SNP Heuristics planning Setting up or maintaining custom alerts Working knowledge of Process Chains and the scheduling processes Working knowledge of ABAP development Participation in APO system implementations.
