Buyer / Material Planner

We are seeking a detail-oriented *Buyer / Materials Planner* to support procurement and supply chain activities in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for planning material requirements, managing purchase orders, maintaining inventory targets, and ensuring the continuous supply of materials to support production schedules and new product launches.

*Key Responsibilities:*

* Plan material requirements and issue purchase orders to support production and product launches.
* Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing and delivery terms, and monitor vendor performance.
* Resolve issues related to non-conforming materials, supplier capacity constraints, and unclear specifications in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
* Analyze inventory levels, forecasts, and cost data to optimize supply, inventory, and purchasing performance.
* Maintain and update ERP/MRP systems, including purchase orders, planning parameters, and supplier information.
* Support qualification and validation of new suppliers, materials, and products.
* Identify and implement cost reduction and process improvement initiatives.

*Qualifications:*

* Bachelor's degree or Associate's degree in a related field preferred.
* Minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing, materials planning, procurement, or supply chain operations.
* Basic SAP knowledge and experience working with ERP systems.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Bilingual (English and Spanish).
* Ability to work effectively in a team environment while handling confidential information with discretion.

Pay: $***** per hour
