Position Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Case Manager to support Horne's energy programs which works with applicants to increase the energy efficiency of their homes to reduce their total residential energy expenditures and improve their health and safety. In this applicant-facing role, you will guide applicants through the applicant process – from intake to eligibility assessment – while delivering excellent customer service and maintaining accurate case records.
Essential Functions:
Assist applicants with program applications
Communicate clearly and empathetically with applicants regarding application status, next steps, and requirements
Collect and review documentation for eligibility determinations
Maintain accurate case records and notes in proprietary systems
Interpret and apply program policies in decision-making
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to resolve issues promptly
Meet daily processing goals and program deadlines in a high-volume setting
Adapt quickly to changes in program protocols, software, or timelines
Deliver consistent and professional support to all stakeholders
Work weekends or extended hours as needed
Perform additional tasks and duties as needed
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
1 year of relevant experience in an administrative, case management, or customer service role
Proficiency in Spanish (written and verbal)
Strong customer service and communication skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure
Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry systems
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
Ability to sit at a desk for extended periods
Work Environment
This position is based on-site at the HORNE office in Puerto Rico.
