The Data Quality CDD is responsible to perform, review and validate of CIP/CDD process of all the new accounts, performing the customer due diligence process ensuring the fulfillment of AML/KYC requirements and supporting customer Risk Rating and High Risk Customer identification processes.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Review the account opening process for New Customers and New Profiles information for quality purposes and validation of BSA/AML Compliance.
Obtain accurate data to understand and classify commercial customers.
Review account documentation, in order to assure compliance CIP and CDD requirements.
Continuously review processes and procedures for improvements and present the corresponding recommendations for approval.
Assign all new commercial customers the right NAIC Code and check whether the Business Type was properly applied by the Business Units.
Perform searches through the Internet and/or Government public data bases available as an effort to verify the appropriateness of the Business Type assigned.
Place special emphasis on ensuring that anticipated monthly activity has been captured for the new commercial account.
Perform an IBS Mass Exchange process to produce a daily mass maintenance for the correct business type and NAICS Code on the customer profile.
Upload of new commercial customers and new High Risk Clients to the CDD OSR System.
Confirm the NAICS code after the receipt of the First Visit Questionnaire using as support the information the CDD Visit Questionnaire and the documents presented by the customer at the account opening.
Perform the first Enhanced Due Diligence analysis to customers designated as high-risk customers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance or any other related field.
Minimum education and experience required can be substituted with the equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge skills and abilities.
Banking related experience in account opening process and operations, including analyzing data, compliance and conducting reviews.
Knowledge of BSA requirements and regulations policies, procedures, practices and documentation.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish.
In depth analytical thinking.
Understands bank operations, policies and procedures.
Proficiency with MS Word, Excel and internet based research
