Summary Description CNAs (Certified Nursing Assistants) care for patients by providing comfort and helping them with daily tasks they may not be able to do on their own.
The CNA is the patient's main caregiver.Responsibilities:Help bedridden patients adjust their position.Transfer patients from room to room.
Maintain rooms by changing sheets or restocking supplies.Help patients maintain good hygiene by assisting in bathing, dressing, and providing bedpans and any requested toiletries.Check patients' vital signs.Take urine samples.Assist patients when they request help.Follow nurse's instructions when performing procedures.Provide food and drink and assist patients in eating and drinking.Follow protocol and procedures to maintain patient safety and the reputation of the establishment.QualificationsComplete a state-approved nurses aide training program.Have certification with the Department Of Health.Be fully capable of performing all of the duties demanded by the position.
