*Job Description*:
We are seeking a driven procurement professional to join our client, a well-established industry leader and Owner of a group of companies with locations in Puerto Rico, Florida, and the Dominican Republic.
This is a role designed to strengthen our current Purchasing Department, which is composed of highly skilled Buyers with proven food and beverage industry proficiency.
*Role Responsibilities:*
* Responsible for commodity purchasing and planning.
* Supports multiple accounts across various divisions, including pharmaceutical ingredients, food and consumer products.
* Works hand-in-hand with the Sales team.
* Supports the company's strategy for new product introductions.
* Develops and manages supplier relationships, including negotiating contracts and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
* Provides clear, consistent communication and alignment with cross-functional teams.
*Qualifications:*
* Proven experience in a procurement/Comodity-purchasing role.
* Must be proficient in Excel and familiar with systems such as ORACLE (ideally), JD Edwards, SAP, or Thrive.
* Excellent organizational skills, high attention to detail, and the ability to work independently.
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative leadership style.
* Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
