Under supervision of Operations Controller direct, coordinate, maintain and control an accounting system that properly reflects the financial position of the company. Responsible for accurate inventory valuation. Business partner in the development and implementation of financial strategies for operation at Bacardi Corporation in Puerto Rico.
Responsibilities
DUTIES AND RESPONSABILITIES:
Develop, implement and monitor the budget, in compliance with the company objectives
Preparation of Standards
Evaluate company’s fiscal position and generates financial and operational reports at local, regional and global levels (Business review, Transfer price, Trading Analysis, FS).
Responsible for accurate inventory valuation:capitalization of variances, transactions in DRAMS and SAP, actual cost valuation, GL reconciliation.
Contributes to the overall team effort in achieving company goals and meeting its needs.
Recruit, monitor, evaluate and develop employees under your role
Plans and directs the duties of assigned personnel, provides training and orientation in order to attain established goals and objectives.
Support the coordination of inventory taking between finance, Operations staff and external auditors. This is: to review counting plan and audit the inventory counting results, posting of adjustments to subsidiaries, variances, obsolescence provisions.
Coordinate external and internal audits and assure compliance.
Participates in Finance and Operations projects
Coach primos from production areas in financial matter within their areas
Participates in the Executive Staff weekly meeting and provides financial advice in business related issues, such as contract negotiations, providing coordination with global and regional financial functions.
Advise and assist other Bacardi sites in Bulk Accounting matters (STDs, variances, accounting, etc)
Through participation in the regional and global financial teams, contributes to the design and implementation of business strategy
To fulfill and to assure the fulfillment of the norms and procedures of Environmental, Heath, Security, Quality and Policies established by the company.

Skills and Experience
POSITION SPECIFICATIONS (REQUIREMENTS, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS):
BA in Business Administration, with concentration in Finance or Accounting
5 years of working experience in a similar position.
Able to read, write, understand and communicate in English and Spanish (Bilingual).
Communication and leadership skills.
Proven ability to make decisions, negotiation and problem-solving skills.
Ability to interpret and analyze financial statements.
Ability to establish priorities and time management skills.
Analytical, strategic and planning skills.
Computer literate and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Lotus Notes, SAP, Oracle, others.
Willing to sign confidentiality agreement.
