The Custom Programs (CP) Coordinator in Puerto Rico works closely with the Customized Programs team to manage faculty-led programs in Puerto Rico. The CP coordinator - PR oversees their programs from the initial request to design and development, through execution. The CP coordinator is also responsible for assessing completed programs and improving our offerings based on participant feedback and general program evaluation.
Maintain regular and timely correspondence with CP team members via email and phone. Create tentative list of inclusions and calendar for proposals and send to CP Manager. Work with our CP team overseas to price program. Provide support during pre-departure info sessions with students and faculty if necessary. Establish and maintain organizational systems. Coordinate on-site itinerary, tour guides, transportation, payments to providers and all necessary elements to execute a program. Manage the funds for each program and have control of its finances, collecting receipts, bills, etc, and justify payments in an Excel. Attends and manage on-site orientation meetings, group pick-up at the airport, as well as welcome and farewell dinners. Maintain smooth relationship with the team of our partner institutions. Attend and manage individual site visits throughout the year. Search for new providers actively.
Required: Related work experience in travel industry; Bachelor’s degree or equivalent; keen attention to detail and highly organized; proactive attitude; proficiency in Microsoft Office; excellent interpersonal and communication skills; team mentality; work well under pressure; proficiency in the Spanish and English language (both written and verbal); and live local to San Juan-area.
Preferred: Extensive knowledge of the island’s cultural offerings. Related work and experience within higher education sphere.
This is an independent contractor offering. Pay is a monthly base, plus per-program bonus.
