Position Overview Lead areas of responsibility toward business goals objectives. Assures compliance of procedure related to facilities building and grounds maintenance. Improve existing and/or new processes at the boiler room and the facilities areas. Act as the division management representative in the areas of environmental, health, and safety (EHS). Provides technical direction to staff. Ensure that facilities are in compliance with applicable Federal, State and local laws and fulfillment of all division and Baxter EHS objectives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Provides technical support and troubleshooting to the utilities areas, environmental and facilities areas. Interprets applicable laws and regulations to advise employer on legal requirements. Responsible of health & safety program assuring the compliance with all establish standards (OSHA / OSHO, Baxter Corporation and Divisions, Fire Department, "Fondo del Seguro del Estado", Health Department, Policemen Department), and policies. Fill out all reports as required by immediate supervisor, external regulations or Corporate, as required on a timely basis. Assure compliance with contractor safely compliance Administer and design training for employees, contractors and/or visitors. Follow up and update Sanitary License at Health Department; explosive licenses, etc. Responsible of all explosive agents and dispose all of them in compliance with all internal and external standards. Support the implementation of a Total Productive Maintenance program to minimize equipment failures associated to predictable tendency and data. Support and guide the sterilization operations establishing priorities and goals. Directs and coordinates fabrication and installation activities to ensure products and systems conform to engineering design and specifications. Active participation in plant teams (safety, health & environment teams, etc.). Identify and execute long term strategic goals to ensure sustainable competitive advantages by implementing operational strategies that ensure predictive and consistent results, continuous improvement and quality requirements. Develops and enhance managerial and leadership skills across the organization. Develop teams and ensure personal accountability. Ensure regulatory knowledge and compliance. Maintain Baxter's commitment to high standards for compliance, enthusiasm and business integrity. Consistent improvement of financial areas. Plans, supervise, organize, implement, direct and coordinate activities of the Engineering Area in supporting the processing manufacturing products in industrial organization assigned all responsibilities through subordinate supervisors. Meet or exceed financial, operational, regulatory, customer and quality requirements and/or expectations. Assure the safety and quality of the products and associates. Qualifications Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, internal or external audits, customers, immediate supervisor and the general public. Fully bilingual (English and Spanish languages). Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables. Strong communications skills. Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Engineering or Science and eight to ten years of related experience. Knowledge in Federal and local laws & regulations (OSHA, EPA, OSHO).
