Location: Aguadilla, Puerto Rico /  On-site  Compensation: Competitive + benefits (401k matching, comprehensive health insurance, paid time off, sick days) Job Summary: Solx is seeking a seasoned and visionary Director of Human Resources to lead and manage all aspects of our HR operations at our Aguadilla facility.
The ideal candidate will be a strategic leader with a proven track record of shaping organizational culture, driving HR initiatives, and aligning HR strategies with business goals.
Key Responsibilities: Design and execute HR strategies that align with Solxs vision and business objectives.
Provide leadership and oversight for recruitment, talent acquisition, and workforce planning.
Foster a positive, inclusive workplace culture that emphasizes employee engagement and retention.
Oversee compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
Develop and manage compensation, benefits, and performance evaluation programs.  Lead initiatives for employee development, training, and succession planning to build a high-performing team.
Act as a trusted advisor to executive leadership on organizational design, change management, and HR policy development.
Develop and track HR metrics to measure the effectiveness of HR initiatives and make data-driven decisions.
Oversee conflict resolution, employee relations, and disciplinary processes.
Continuously evaluate and improve HR policies, programs, and systems to meet the evolving needs of the company.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).
Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior HR leadership role.
Deep knowledge of Puerto Rico labor laws and employment regulations.
Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (written and verbal).
Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and decision-making abilities.
Experience with HR systems, analytics, and tools (e.g., HRIS, ATS, payroll systems).
HR certifications (e.g., SPHR, SHRM-SCP, PHR, or SHRM-CP) are highly desirable Skills and Competencies: Low ego.
Ability to foster a culture of high engagement, collaboration, and innovation to maintain a motivated, diverse, and committed workforce.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to influence and drive change at all levels of the organization.
Proactive in addressing workplace issues and implementing solutions that enhance employee well-being and organizational effectiveness.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization.
Proficient in HR analytics, utilizing data to drive strategic decisions.
Expertise in labor law and compliance requirements specific to manufacturing environments.
