Ehs Specialist

The *EHS Specialist* must have experience in the Medical Device or Pharmaceutical industries and will focus on evaluating and implementing regulatory requirements for new projects, including new equipment installations or relocations, revising OSHA safety programs, coordinating industrial hygiene monitoring, and leading EHS training and compliance activities.

*Minimum Requirements:*
* Bachelor's Degree in Sciences or Engineering
* Bilingual (Spanish and English) and strong communication skills (oral and written)
* Knowledge and experience to evaluate the applicability of any regulatory or corporate environmental, health, industrial hygiene and safety requirements for new projects (new equipment or equipment relocation).
* Knowledge and experience to implement any requirement, such as but not limited to the revision of OSHA safety programs, training coordination, and other similar tasks.

*Responsibilities:*
* Creates and maintains safety rules and procedures to protect people and the environment.
* Checks equipment installation efforts, makes sure procedures are being followed, and supports safety inspections.
* Finds safety or environmental problems and makes sure the right steps are taken to fix them.
* Helps teach and train employees on safety and environmental topics.
* Suggests or makes changes to improve safety, environmental protection, or work processes.
* Understands how to apply safety and environmental rules to new projects, equipment, or changes.
* Has experience evaluating OSHA safety programs.
* Manage equipment installation safety activities ("lock out, tag out", compressed air, etc.), doing safety checks, and organizing training.
