We are Para la Naturaleza, a nonprofit environmental organization based in Puerto Rico and we are looking for a candidate to join our team! Our Environmental Interpreter offers different tours throughout our regions with the purpose of inspiring others to take action in favor of nature. This position requires willingness to travel, work extended hours, weekends, holidays and rotating shifts. Must be available to drive vehicles. Seeking candidates for the Metro-Central Region (Barranquitas, PR). This is a full time regular position.
Requisitos:
• Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university or college in Natural Sciences, Education, Social Sciences or related areas • Experience in the following customer service, presentations, investigation projects and field work • Experience in flora and fauna Experience in volunteer management • Experience in vertical techniques with groups (rappelling) • Fully bilingual, excellent communication skills in both English and Spanish (spoken and written) • Preferably, knowledge in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and map interpretation • Proficiency in word processing, worksheets and presentation programs, such as MS Office (Word, Excel PowerPoint) and knowledge in operating systems like Windows & MAC • Willingness to work in the field on daily basis, including open areas, caves, swamps, rivers, beaches, mountains, among others
