Tetra Techs San Juan office is currently seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Environmental Scientist/Engineer to support a diversity of projects for a variety of public and private sector clients. The successful candidate will have a background in environmental sciences or engineering and maintain strong interdisciplinary skills. Must be highly motivated, customer focused, a critical thinker and problem solver, detail-oriented, and a team player with strong focus on quality. IMMEDIATE RESPONSIBILITIES: Support ongoing Stormwater Management Program and Implementation projects for several Municipalities. Develop opportunities with local public and private clients to increase market participation. Participate as a team member in the development of Environmental Documents such as Environmental Impact Statements, Stormwater Management Programs, and Hazard Mitigation Plans. RESPONSIBILITIES: Support project manager on report generation in a diversity of projects for a variety of public and private sector clients. Develop knowledge of federal and local environmental regulations. Conduct field site visits, providing field work support, and interact with clients, subcontractors, and other professionals. Develop business contacts. Support overall business operations. Qualifications: REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS: B.S. or B.A. in Environmental Science, Engineering, and/or Biology. Masters degree in environmental science is desired but not required. The candidate must have 2-3 years of previous experience in environmental research projects and maintain strong interdisciplinary skills. Demonstrated experience working with federal and local environmental agencies is a must. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. This position may support a broad range of environmental projects throughout Tetra Tech and requires a professional with demonstrated ability to work well with clients and Tetra Tech team members. The candidate must be flexible with changes in priorities, and have exceptional multi-tasking capabilities. The candidate must have excellent communication and organizational skills, as well as computer literacy with at least MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Internet-based applications.
