POSITION SUMMARY: The Facilities Supervisor (FS) is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and operations of buildings, equipment, and grounds to ensure they are safe, functional, and well-maintained.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OR RESPONSIBILITIES:
The main functions of the Facilities Supervisor (FS) are:
* Support Facilities management supervising daily maintenance, cleaning and repair jobs in the terminal and building areas.
* Analyze facilities department materials and labor costs.
* Assist in providing support in receiving, verifying, and storing supplies.
* Assist with deliveries and general portage duties.
* Assist with minor plumbing repairs including unblocking sinks, drains etc.
* Coordinate construction and renovation projects as needed.

* Deal with minor electrical repairs and fixings.
* Help develop and managing budgets for facility maintenance, repairs, and renovations, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation.

* Identify and report needs for major repairs.
* Inspect and move traffic signs where needed daily.
* Inspect fences, gates, and locks around the terminal for safety concerns and report any safety issue they may present.
* Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, work orders, and inspections.
* Measure, inspect and prepare reports of areas paved or to be paved and manage traffic to avoid disturbing the asphalt work and containers dispatch.
* Perform any other reasonable task as requested by management.
* Process material and service requisitions and update management on status of orders.
* Provide efficient and effective caretaking support to ongoing projects.
* Provide support in repairing potholes and gutters.
* Provide support moving equipment and furniture around the buildings and terminal.
* Regularly check external areas for any potential danger to people on site.
* Responsible for operating the receiving of goods and services requested by the facilities department following the Receiving Policy and Procedures of the Company.
* Review vendors for compliance with company's quality criteria.
* Supervise a team of maintenance personnel.
* Support with cleaning duties when required.
* Transport small equipment or tools between departments and outside the terminal, as needed.
* Undertake minor items of repair and maintenance, including minor repair of fixtures and fittings including desks, tables, and chairs.
* Will be responsible for complying with all internal and external safety regulations.
* Perform other functions not mentioned in this document that are inherent to the position in the assigned area.
EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
· 2+ years' experience in facilities/maintenance.
· A high level of integrity, accuracy, dependability, enthusiasm, and confidentiality.
· Ability and knowledge using small industrial/electrical/mechanical equipment.
· Ability to recognize hazards and take measures to avoid them.
· Ability to understand, speak and write in Spanish and English. Communication and reporting skills. Must be an effective listener, clear and direct.
· Ability to work well in a team environment. Must have great interpersonal skills (people oriented).
· Ability to work with problems that involve certain concrete variables in common situations.
· Able to regularly handle/carry items.
· Able to work under pressure, with a sense of urgency and frequent changes.
· Analyze problems and provide concise decision or ideas.
· Associate degree or Technical Certification, preferred.
· Attention to detail.
· Basic knowledge in asphalt paving and traffic management.
· Basic knowledge of mathematics and computers including email, excel, word, powerpoint, etc.
· Extensive walking, including on uneven surfaces.
· Knowledge of basic preventative and general maintenance and repair activities.
· Knowledge of health and safety procedures and precautions, and an awareness of health and hygiene procedures.
· Maturity to adapt to change as well as variable work schedule.
· Must be attentive to client and job's demands.

· Must have a high interest/passion in finding new ways to complete a job.
· Must have a high level of energy and enthusiasm to help.
· Must have an updated TWIC Card (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and driver's license.

· The ability to read a limited number of two- and three-syllable words and to recognize similarities and differences between words and between series of numbers. Ability to print and speak simple sentences.
· Well-organized and apt in problem-solving.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $32,000.00 - $35,000.00 per year
