Full Time Opportunity General Description This position is responsible for the oversight/monitoring of the enterprise risk management framework, processes and controls, taking into consideration the overall business strategy, legal/regulatory requirements, and other best practices, and managing the program for the development of products and services in Popular. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Review the Risk Management Policy and Risk Management in the Development of Products and Services Policy, procedures, standards and guidance to incorporate new developments and practices. Evaluate the adequacy of the development of products and services processes and controls. Provide recommendations for improvements to ensure compliance with policies, procedures and applicable regulatory guidance. Manage the development of products and services processes, including coordinating the meetings, monitoring the scheduled deliverables, and maintaining the required documentation. Assist Management in preparing reports for the Enterprise Risk Management Committee, the Risk Management Committee, and the Senior Management Team and Executives. Develop and/or revise enterprise risk management procedures, and/or manuals to train business units' liaisons and to incorporate new development and practices. Design, develop and prepare reports and dashboards to measure business risk performance and drive continual improvement across the organization. Develop and conduct trainings to business unit's liaisons on risk management topics and processes. Education Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration with a major in Finance, Industrial Engineering or related areas. Experience At least three years' experience in compliance, internal or external audit, internal controls or related areas. Banking industry experience is a plus. Additional Information Risk Management background is essential Strong analytical skills to evaluate internal control systems. Proficient in evaluating process changes and recommending additional controls needed. Excellent research and analysis skills. Strong organizational skills and ability to work on multiple projects. Ability to work in a fast paced environment both independently and in a team setting. Excellent oral and written communication skills, both in English and Spanish. Advanced PC skills (MS Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Word etc.) Skills to develop and maintain good relationships with clients, anticipate their needs, present alternatives to resolve situations and provide follow-up to the agreements reached. Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization. Customer service oriented. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Ability to manage and prioritize projects and changing deadlines Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail. Results oriented with sound decision making ability.
