General Description
Analyze financial, fundamental and other pertinent information of entities or assets being considered for Popular’s acquisition, investment or divestiture. Identify potential targets, prepare financial valuations, including projections of income, expenses, growth and synergies, assessing the price and the return of investment, and the fit with the corporation’s strategy. Conduct investigations, perform and coordinate due diligence reviews, participate in the requests for regulatory permits, negotiate agreements, and support integration efforts. Analyze, organize and present information for decision making to management.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from an accredited university or college (concentration in Accounting, Finance or Economics preferred). Master’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics, preferable. CPA or CFA preferable, but not required.
Experience
Experience managing and analyzing financial information is required. Experience working with financial institutions preferable, but not required.

• Knowledge and skill in the analysis and interpretation of business financial information.
• Excellent quantitative analysis skills.
• Ability to make projections, present financial reports, and make recommendations.
• Ability to evaluate economic indicators and the cost / benefits of financial transactions.
• High level of organization to establish priorities, work with multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Initiative and judgment to make decisions within the framework of authority granted.
• Ability to work under pressure and minimum supervision.
• Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills.
• Advanced communication skills in English and Spanish, both oral and written.
• Presentation skills before groups and individuals.
• Advanced knowledge in the use of Microsoft Office applications: Excel, Word, PowerPoint,.
• Skill to work with different financial information systems.
• Flexibility to travel in and out of Puerto Rico.
