Full Job Description
Responsibilities & Duties:
-Participate in development and execution of onboarding and orientation programs and procedures for new employees.
-Administer and explain benefits to employees, serve as liaison between third party administrators and employees.
-Research and track federal, state, and city labor laws compliance issues; assist with implementation as required.
-Direct all hiring and training procedures for new employees.
-Continually educate employees on company policies (including sexual harassment, appropriate dress, etc.) and keep employee handbook current.
-Meet with employees for progress reviews and assessments, discussing any problems or grievances they may have.
-Implement company policies and procedures.
-Create incentive and benefits programs.
-Evaluate and assess employee discrepancies and suggest disciplinary actions.
-Address any employment relations issues, such as work complaints and harassment allegations.
-Maintain and revise the company’s handbook on policies and procedures.
-Recommend new policies, approaches and procedures.
-Contract issuing and cancellation.
-Manage employee and contractor benefits and payroll.
-Plan networking activities and events with academic institutions and relevant industries.
-Gather and analyze employee data regarding satisfaction of company procedures and benefits.
-Create and distribute company newsletter and marketing material.
-Preparing and maintaining job documentation, job evaluation, and company salary structure systems.
Qualifications:
-BA in Human Resources, Organization Psychology, or related fields.MBA Preferred.
-Bilingual (English & Spanish)
-A minimum of two years’ experience in human resources field.
-Effective oral and written communication of policies, procedures, legal concepts, etc.
-Flexibility and adaptability needed to work in a changing environment and to respond to changing needs.
-Knowledge of applicable Federal, State, and local laws, rules, regulations, codes, and/or statutes
-Exceptional time-management and organizational skills.
-Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Power Point, Outlook).
