The Human Resources Manager develops and implements Human Resources policy for the company and manages the day-to-day operations of the Human Resource function for all locations, including the administration of the human resources policies, procedures and programs.
The HR functional areas may include the following: staffing and new hire orientation, salary and wage administration, employee relations, benefits administration, safety, and performance appraisal administration, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), and training and development.
The Human Resource Manager partakes in the development of an employee-oriented company culture that emphasizes quality, continuous improvement, and high performance.

Primary Responsibilities:

•The Human Resources Manager originates and leads Human Resources practices and objectives that will provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture that emphasizes empowerment, quality, productivity and standards, goal attainment, and the recruitment and ongoing development of a superior workforce.

•Develops and administers various human resources plans and procedures for all company employees.
Assists in the development and implementation of employment policies and procedures.
Maintains employee handbook as well as policies and procedures manual.

•Implements the performance management function of the company by reviewing job descriptions, develops and monitors the performance appraisal systems, and reviews and recommends changes to the compensation program as necessary.

•Identifies, recommends, and implements benefit program for the company.
Performs benefits administration to include claims resolution, change reporting, approving invoices for payment, and communicating benefit information to employees.

•Administers the leave policies of the company and ensures the company remains in compliance with the various federal and state leave laws.
These laws includes Family Medical Leave, Workers' Compensation, and disability leave, etc.

•Maintains other records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.

•Manages recruitment efforts for all exempt and nonexempt personnel.
Conducts new-employee orientations.
Writes and places advertisements.

•Oversees the training and development program.

•Oversees the weekly payroll.

•Handles employee relations counseling, performance improvement plans, and exit interviewing.

•Participates in administrative staff meetings and attends other meetings and seminars.

•Oversees the Human Resource Information System.

•Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment.

•Performs other related duties as required and assigned.

•Develops and implements employee safety, welfare, wellness, and health.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities Requirements:

•Minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development or similar field and two to three years of Human Resources experience; OR

•Five or more years of Human Resources experience.

•Prior responsibility for the development and implementation of the HR function in an organization is required

•Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, employee relations, safety, training, and preventive labor relations, preferred.

•Professional in Human Resources (PHR) certification is strongly preferred

•In-depth knowledge of employment laws and practices.

•Experience in the administration of benefits and compensation programs and other Human Resources programs.

•Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment.
Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.

•Effective oral and written communication.

•Excellent interpersonal and coaching skills.

•Evidence of the practice of a high level of confidentiality.

•Excellent organizational skills.
