General Description 13;
Promote and lead initiatives to enhance Identity Authentication processes and controls across the bank, overseeing short: and long:term plans to bring Popular to the forefront in this area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities 13;
:
Bring expertise and industry knowledge about new technologies and methods that allow us to ensure we are dealing with trustworthy clients at every interaction from origination to daily transactions.
:
Analyze current infrastructure of tools and systems used to authenticate customers across channels, mapping and identifying key opportunities.
:
Review and recommend new instruments as necessary, bringing the necessary insight and knowledge to facilitate the decision:making process and ensure risk considerations are clear and prioritized appropriately.
:
Support and/or manage authentication related projects, keeping track of, and proactively managing priorities.
:
Keep internal stakeholders informed and focused on critical authentication priorities to ensure alignment and constant progress on established agenda, providing necessary support to clear any hurdles that come up.
:
Convey a story effectively by preparing outstanding presentations of financial/operational highlights, achievements, risks, progress of initiatives and overall authentication roadmap.
:
Build strong relationships throughout the organization to keep fraud perspective and necessary authentication controls at the forefront of internal discussions.
:
Analyze fraud trends, especially those related to authentication risks (identity theft, synthetic fraud, account takeover) and propose/promote strategies/tactics to control fraud risk and mitigate losses in most effective way possible.

Ensure necessary processes, tools, and systems are considered to continuously improve our effectiveness in controlling fraud risk while minimizing customer friction.
:
Maintain proactive and effective escalation processes, making effective and timely decisions when unpredictable situations arise.
:
Promote and maintain a proper balance between the management of risk and the ease of use of our products.
:
Develop, manage, promote, and integrate all aspects of the assigned area to meet both, client needs and organization objectives.
Minimum Education 13;
Bachelors Degree
Experience 13;
At least 5 years of experience directly working with fraud prevention tools and/or identity authentication processes.
Fraud management experience and knowledge of related systems as well as knowledge of technology solutions used to authenticate clients in banking environment is strongly preferred.
