Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree (BBA, BA, BS or related field) with 8-10 combined experience; or Master’s Degree – 5 years combined
Experience in the following areas: Supply Chain/Import-Export Compliance/ Foreign Trade Zone Management.
Deep knowledge of local and global regulations covering all kind of Import and Exports activities is essential. Experience/Knowledge in foreign trade activities and logistics
Responsibilities:
The incumbent will control and monitor the customs clearance declaration process following local and federal regulations. Also, is responsible for other transportation issues that require specialized knowledge. Importing and exporting of GMP material, which require special shipment details. Monitor customs and transportation invoices. Ensures that all inbound custom entries, are processed in a timely, accurate, and consistent manner. Coordinates with Purchasing, Suppliers, Forwarders, Carriers, and Pfizer Site Management filing prior to the Import shipments, required information such as roadmaps, classification information, importer filing and other requirements from other related regulatory agencies (ie. FDA, DEA, USDA).
Responsible for SOP maintenance, changes and training. Coordinates required meetings and trainings.
Performs clerical functions related to the Logistics Unit including record keeping, typing, answering telephones, Safety Data entries, 5s audits, and audit answers.
Compiles Investigation deviation facts, documentation and metrics. Prepares report charts and graphs as required.
Performs any required audits in the area. Supports any other Logistics areas as required. The incumbent will need the mental capability to coordinate all the responsibilities of the position based on the daily needs with a minimal supervision. Work output in a timely, accurate and consistent manner is critical to run the business.
Shipment activities require attention to details to ensure transportation regulations are followed. They require correct interpretation and execution with minimum supervision to ensure that forwarders, carriers and airlines execute all logistics and activities in a timely, effective, and correct manner to comply with Domestic and International Transportation regulations. Once the incumbent has finished; the work goes to the next steps of the cycle.
