*Job Overview*
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Systems Technician to provide front-line technical support, assist with hardware and software installations, and perform on-site and remote diagnostics across multiple locations, to support a technology consulting contract in Puerto Rico.. The ideal candidate will support end-users by troubleshooting equipment, maintaining IT inventory, and ensuring that systems operate efficiently and securely. This role is hands-on and customer-focused, requiring excellent problem-solving skills, basic networking knowledge, and a strong commitment to preventive maintenance and documentation.
*Qualifications*
* Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field*,* or equivalent
* Minimum of 2–3 yearsof experience in technical support or IT field service
* Proven experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware and software
* Familiarity with Windows 10/11, Microsoft 365, and basic networking (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS)
* Strong understanding of preventive maintenance and equipment lifecycle support
* Ability to provide remote and in-person technical support across various locations
* Basic knowledge of scripting (e.g., PowerShell) is a plus
*Certifications (preferred / optional)*
* CompTIA A+ – Core certification for IT support and troubleshooting
* CompTIA ITF+ – Foundational IT knowledge (good for entry-level technicians)
* CompTIA Network+ – Basic networking skills
* Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate
* Microsoft 365 Certified: Fundamentals
* HDI Desktop Support Technician – Best practices for user support
* Cisco Certified Technician (CCT) – Basic skills in networking hardware support
* Apple Certified Support Professional (ACSP) – For macOS environments (if applicable)
* Google IT Support Professional Certificate – Entry-level help desk certification
* ITIL Foundation – Introduction to IT service management
*Resposabilities*
* Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop computers, laptops, printers, and peripheral devices
* Set up and maintain user workstations, including software, drivers, and hardware components
* Provide first-level technical support to end users, resolving issues via remote tools or on-site visits
* Assist with the installation and delivery of IT equipment to central and regional offices
* Perform routine preventive maintenance and updates on devices and systems
* Maintain accurate IT inventory records and track equipment across locations
* Support Microsoft 365 applications, including Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive
* Perform basic network troubleshooting (e.g., connectivity, IP settings, patching)
* Document incidents, support actions, and resolutions in the service ticketing system
* Escalate unresolved issues to senior IT staff or system administrators as needed
* Ensure proper handling of hardware replacements and warranty coordination
* Assist in training end users on basic technology functions and procedures

* Based in Puerto Rico or willing to travel to regional sites as needed
* Valid driver's license
* Fluent in English & Spanish
