Verify conformance and nonconformance of material, hardware, and processes to Engineering specifications. Able to audit process to ensure compliance based on quality records and procedures.

1. Able to daily inspect material, subassemblies and reject parts using procedures, specifications & engineering drawing.
2. Works from engineering drawing, specifications, job instruction sheet, operation plans and layouts.
3. Understand engineering drawing interpretation and the use of geometric tolerance inspection technique per latest standards.
4. Perform “In Process”, Final, Outline, Source, and Receiving inspection.
5. Able to act as Customer Inspection Delegate (FAA).
6. Perform First Article Inspection (FAI) of new products.
7. Use of measurement devices or tooling to determine conformances according to drawing or standards.
8. Uses a wide variety of complex electrical and mechanical measuring instrument and equipment. (CMM, Shadowgraph)
9. Perform set up for dimensional gauge devices.
10. Assists or supports quality engineering in establishing part inspection procedures.
11. Assists on operators’ certification as requested by Quality Engineering or supervisor of the area.
12. Supports “On the Job Training activities”.
13. Perform periodically audits of the area, process, and products.
14. Perform inspection for purges of pieces, parts, and assemblies, when non-conformance to drawing or process.
15. Obtain Preliminary Reviewer (PR) access.
16. Monitor and audit shelf life material in assign area.
17. Performs work with a minimum amount of supervision.
18. Comply with electrostatic discharge (ESD) requirements.
19. Completes inspection in an efficient and competent manner.
20. Observes safety and good housekeeping rules and practices.
21. Accurately report labor.
22. Observe quality policies and procedures.
23. Attend scheduled EH&S training program.
24. Actively support the organization’s efforts to meet or exceed EH&S goals and plans.
25. Recommend improved EH&S practices.
26. Perform other duties as assigned.
** In addition to Inspector I duties and responsibilities.

Inspect products according to work instructions, standards and drawing requirements. Verify files and documents for any recorded nonconformance. Verify product concurs with latest engineering requirements. Identify nonconformance and generate documentation for rejection. Collect data as required to perform First Article Inspection using Visual Fair or Forms from AS9102. Prepare First Article Inspection documentations for validation. Use of measuring tools and gauges to determine nonconformance. Read and Interpret drawings, standards, and work instruction sheets. Provide on the job training for new team members. Handling of the product. Identify areas of opportunities within the process. Work closely with engineering to improve process or work instructions. Analyze and record defects found in products. Use of measurement tooling such as calipers, rulers, etc., to determine product compliance. Identify and mark defects found in product. Audit work instruction sheets, procedures, and materials used. Recognize and identify irregularities between work instruction sheets and blueprints. Interpret schematics drawings for wiring. Handling of the product. Maintain good housekeeping and safety in working areas. Use of gauging devices and other inspection equipment. Audit work area, process, and product according to standards and procedures. Work closely with engineering to improve process or work instructions. Able to perform inspection at “In process” and “final” , and receiving. Perform outline and source inspection. Verify and record humidity and temperature of the working area. Perform Pull test to harness. Perform Incoming inspection to units returned by customer. Create “Clinic” for units returned by customer.
