Instrument Technician

Under general supervision, the Instrument Technician is responsible for performing/providing calibration, repair, installation, troubleshooting, and documentation of instruments, process control systems, and equipment used in manufacturing, utility plants, and analytical labs. Perform basic calibrations of instruments on process and utility equipment. Assist the team with maintaining an up-to-date working spare parts inventory system for the equipment/ systems the team is responsible for. Assist in the development, revision, and updating of related SOPs for work related areas. Configure and repair microprocessor based instruments and controllers. Basic troubleshooting and repair of process control and laboratory instruments.
Requisitos:
The position requires an Associate’s degree and 2 years of Maintenance experience OR High School diploma/GED and 4 years of Maintenance experience. Must have extensive knowledge in both maintenance and instrumentation activities. as he would be supporting both activities in the production area. PREFERRED QUALITIFACIONS
• A craftsperson knowledgeable of pneumatic, mechanical, and electronic instrumentation.
• Has received training or hands on experience in such specialized subjects as analog and/or digital electronics, microprocessors and/or computers, and the operation and maintenance of particular lines of field instrumentation.
• Ability to effectively communicate ideas through verbal and written form
• Intermediate computer skills
• Ability to interact constructively with peers/teams
• Ability to seek outside resources as needed
