This Internship opportunity is for our Skanska USA Building Inc. division located in Florida. An Intern assists and supports Project Engineers, the Project Manager and Superintendent on assigned projects. The position works under direct supervision, performs routine daily activities and gathers and distributes information. Interns must be a flexible and have a strong desire to learn. What You'll Do: Receive, review, forward and track status of submittals Track and distribute RFIs Assist in preparations of bid packages and procurement Track and inspect material deliveries Attend project meetings and record meeting minutes Assist in project close-out Communicate and enforce Skanska Safety and Health Management Program Demonstrate commitment to an Injury-Free Environment through own actions and mentoring others What We're Looking For: Computer knowledge and efficiency, including Microsoft Office products Broad understanding of industry Strong written and verbal communication skills Basic math/accounting skills Functions effectively as part of a team Dependability Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality at all times Ability to understand and follow directions Good time management skills and organizational skills Ability to read drawings and specifications a plus Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree – Construction Management, Engineering or equivalent Skanska is an equal opportunity employer.
