We are seeking aTier 2 IT Infrastructure Analystto join our team in Empresas Fonalledas, Inc.

Position overview
The selected candidate will provide remote and face to face second level technical support (analysis and consultation) related to information technology infrastructure and capacity plan. It will also assist the IT Director and Infrastructure Manager in the definition of all critical elements of the technical infrastructure to define the overall capacity plan and course of action. This role also collaborates with the business units needs operations on an on-demand basis.
Responsibilities
Maintain critical information documented in the Service Desk application, including those related to critical asset, contracts, and others.
Manage IT incidents escalated by IT first level support.
Assist project teams with the technical issues in the initiation and planning phases of a project. These activities include the definition of needs, benefits, and technical strategy; research and development during the project lifecycle; technical analysis and design; and support of operations staff in executing, testing and rolling-out the solutions.
Manage the installment of new or rebuild existing servers, configure hardware, peripherals, services, setting, directories, storage, in accordance with standards and project/operational requirements.
Responsible for the installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of systems hardware and related infrastructure for the following systems: Linux, Windows, Virtualization Hypervisor and storage systems.
Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
Collaborates in the decision making related to PC software and hardware standards that comply with the business units needs through analysis and collaboration with vendors.
Ensures that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adheres to organizational values.
Provide periodic performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resources optimization as required.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from accredited college or university in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related field.
Two (2) to four (4) years of experience in system administration.
Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
Specialized knowledge in:
Internet technologies and routing
Firewalls and network security
Authentication security
Remote access and VPN
Network management and diagnostics
Enterprise network storage
Veritas enterprise storage and backup management related products
