A brief description: As the IT Project Manager you will Create and maintain information technology project plans that communicate tasks, milestone dates, resource allocation and status. Utilize software life-cycle methodology. Assist technical team in design and development tasks. Assist test team in creating test plans and testing efforts. Responsibilities: Manages and oversees large, long range, or multiple simple and complex projects.. Develops project scope, cost estimates, human resource requirements, work plans, time schedules, communication plans, and makes work assignments to meet project or program objectives. Establishes and monitors program priorities, objectives, and procedures, determining area objectives, targets of service, and resource needs allocation. Provides support to other functional teams so that tasks and activities are coordinated for project scope control, quality control, communication management, change control management, risk management and issue management. Aligns project portfolio with End customer strategic goals. Develops and maintains records, prepares reports, and composes correspondence relative to the work. Serves as a liaison between the customer technology department and business areas concerning requests, standards, and other program and project matters. Coordinates work activities by scheduling staff assignments, setting the work priorities, and directing the work of assigned employees, (including contractual) in the development of new information technology systems and enhancements to existing systems. Help identify staff development and training needs and ensures that training is obtained, when necessary. Utilizes established standard system methods such as Project Management Methodology (PMM) in the maintenance, development, enhancement, and deployment of information technology systems. Support in the coordination of audits performed by internal or external parties. Provides users with the skills and tools they need to determine root issues and plans for success. Requirements: Ability to resolve conflicting high-priority requirements. Knowledge of Project Management principles, concepts and practices. Advance knowledge of concepts and basic operating principles of data communications and information systems hardware and software. Understanding of governing laws and regulations applicable to the end customer's regulations such as HIPAA, HITECH Act, Insurance Commissioner, among others. Ability to gather and analyze facts, design conclusions, defines problems, and suggests solutions. Ability to communicate effectively, build consensus, facilitate working sessions, and negotiate solutions and alternatives. Minimum of 3+ years of experience Project Management Methodologies. Ability to handle multiple tasks, set priorities, schedule, and meet deadlines. Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Computer or Engineering Science or Business Administration. Plus: Proficiency in MS Visio and MS Project. Knowledge of SDLC Methodologies. PMP Certification.
