Jr. Accountant

*Job Opening: Junior Accountant*

*Location:* Bayamón, Puerto Rico
*Annual Salary:* From $35K to $40K (depending on the experience)
*Schedule:* Full-time

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented *Junior Accountant* to join our team in *Bayamón*. The ideal candidate will have *full-cycle accounting experience*, a strong focus on *Accounts Receivable*, and *previous experience working in a construction company environment*.

*Key Responsibilities:*

* Manage the *full accounting cycle*, including journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end closings.
* Oversee *Accounts Receivable* functions: invoicing, payment processing, aging analysis, and collections.
* Assist with Accounts Payable, general ledger maintenance, and job costing.
* Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
* Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records for multiple projects.
* Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting standards.
* Collaborate with project managers and other departments to resolve billing or payment issues.

*Qualifications:*

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
* Minimum of 1–3 years of accounting experience, *preferably in a construction company*.
* Proven experience with *Accounts Receivable* processes.
* Solid understanding of the *full accounting cycle*.
* Familiarity with construction accounting practices (e.g., job costing, progress billing) is a plus.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
* Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
* Effective communication in both English and Spanis
