Junior Accountant Job Description
Fast-growing company that manages Captive Insurance Companies both onshore and offshores. We are looking to hire local talent in San Juan, Puerto Rico. This position requires to speak and write in English the majority time. Management Services Internationalis looking for an Accountant with 10 years plus of experience that can work independently preparing and record accounting and investment entries by compiling and analyzing account information for several companies. The Junior Accountant will maintain and balance subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, reconciling transactions; resolving discrepancies. Junior Accountant Job Responsibilities:
Records and documents accounting entries and posting as well as the supplemental worksheet to calculate the realized/ unrealized Gain/ Loss in all the company's portfolios
Provide support to internal audits (quality control of related transactions multi-company)
Maintain files and documentation thoroughly and accurately, in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting practices
Assist in the Preparation of Business Tax Returns (1120PC) US and Local. Including supporting document for 1120pc, NAIC statements multiple year comparison
Assist in the Preparation Annual Reports State Filling.
Analyze Financial Statements to assure all entries including investment entries have been recorded in accordance to GAAP/SAP and recommend overall improvement in the reports
Recommends financial actions by analyzing accounting options.
Maintains accounting controls by preparing and recommending policies and procedures.
Reconciles financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping financial information confidential.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in tax, accounting, or finance
CPA desired
Minimum 5-8 years’ experience in accounting/finance
Experience in accounting cycle and financial reporting
Experience in working with multiple legal entities under different legal umbrellas
