Kelly Services is currently looking for 2 LaboratoryTechnicians for one of our top clients in Añasco, PR to start on January 2020. Below description and requirements.
Job Summary
Performs routine tests and analyses to assure that products comply with established specifications. Carries out simple calculations and prepares documentation that shows the results of tests performed. Completes record of inspection results, acceptance, rejection and disposition for entry into log books or computer databases. Sends test equipment for scheduled calibration and maintenance. Assists with specialized product/customer quality testing. Assists -with the implementation of revisions, corrections and changes to test equipment, procedures and methods. Logs in defective products returned by customers to determine root causes of failure. Observes discussions with quality, engineering and other relevant departments to learn about corrective actions for reoccurring problems. Adheres to environmental policy, procedures, and supports department environmental objectives.
Responsibilit ies
Performs microbiological and chemical testing on the final product, intermediate, raw material, and environmental monitoring, as per established policies/procedures (J&J policies, FDA, cGMP) without adversely impacting the manufacturing cycle or the laboratory operations.
Documents and/or verifies tests and results for the testing performed, with minimum of discrepancies.
Provides for preventive maintenance and standardization of laboratory equipment.
Participates in the implementation of new projects and methods validation/ transfers.
Prepares presentations, as requested.
Generates changes to existing procedures or creates new ones based on area needs.
Resolves technical problems with minimum intervention from the scientist or any other person.
Trains new employees.
Generates statistical reports for tests performed.
Participates in laboratory investigations and assists on internal and/or external audits, complaints and product impact analysis.
Responsible for completing projects and drives for results.
Interacts with other project groups.
Maintains procedures up to date by performing necessary changes to comply with internal and/or external requirements.
Submits purchase requisitions and maintains laboratory inventory at an adequate level, and initiates requisitions for replenishments in a timely manner.
Escalates compliance events.
Requirements
Associate degree or BS degree in science preferred.
Able to read, write, and speak English and Spanish.
Computer literacy and Mathematical skills
From 1 to 2 years' experience in laboratory field in a medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
