Formula for Success: You Will… Shipdifferent Finished Goods, Bulks, Intermediate Products, product samplesand other materials to different BASF subsidiaries and/or affiliates, incompliance with the different Corporate and Governmental Regulations (suchas Customs, FIFRA, DOT, IATA, IMDG and Dangerous Goods regulations andothers) and International Regulations (ICAO, etc.). Manage Shippingand Receiving areas as well as all the Transportation area, includingExport & Import shipments. Coordinatethe US Customs import entries in conjunction with the US Customs Broker,and act as the plant liaison with US Customs. PrepareDepartmental Budget. Verify,track and code the transportation & demurrage invoices to be sent forpayment approval. Generatethe technical purchase orders for the Department in the SAP system. Negotiateocean international and all air transportation rates with carriers, inaddition to assisting the Corporate Transportation Team during any biddingprocess. Liaisonbetween the plant, the BASF Corporate Foreign Trade Team and USCustoms. Assureall import documents and processes are in compliance with the BASFCorporate and US Customs regulations. Supportthe Global Transportation Team during the yearly bid negotiations. Representthe site as Hazmat Coordinator to assure compliance with Corporate andFederal Regulations. Providetechnical support to the areas in the packaging preparation for suchmaterials, to ensure compliance with regulations. Ensurecoordination of the warehouse space to meet all EHS, cross-contaminationand MC requirements for the materials stored. Coordinatethe loading/unloading operations of raw materials, packaging components,in-process materials, such as Reworks and Bulks, and the differentFinished Goods Products manufactured in Manati. Ensurethe availability of necessary tools and equipment to support theoperations. Managethe Receiving area for packaging components, Raw Materials, TechnicalMaterials, Intermediates, Manufacturing Supplies and miscellaneoussupplies. Experienceworking with SAP, Bar Code System, others. Experiencein Importing & Exporting, domestically and internationally.
