MCAC Maintenance and Investment Planning Leader Job Summary Manage and control monitoring management functions related to Major Maintenance and CapEx, including budget processes in the APS tool, financial projections, forecast, KPI, to ensure the availability of information for decision making and provide the appropriate information to the Financial Planning and Analysis team. Perform the administration of major and annual maintenance activities, identifying the needs of parts, materials and services for the execution of the same, whether these are considered as routine or corrective activities. It responsible for identifying and delivering; in a systematized manner, the activities prepared for execution in the annual, major or reconditioning of equipment, as well as elaborating the necessary purchase requests regarding parts, materials or services to be used; on agreement to user needs Primary Job Functions Actively participate in coordination with the Complex Leader, Planning, and Supply Chain in the development of the budget, forecasts and economic projections of capital expenditures (CapEx) and Major Maintenance works. Coordinate with CapEx Committee and O&M team on the final selection of portfolio of investments and ensure full breakdown of projects determined as selected to be send them to approval rounds; which are precisely updated in the AES Planning System (APS) tool and created in SAP (Project System) after approval. Ensure consistency in information across SAP-APS so that the 3 areas (O&M, Planning, SCM) manage a sole source of truth for Budget execution and forecasting, enabling full details on Project execution status, CWIP, and availability of funds Participate in validation meetings with O&M and/or SCM to check savings (>$100K) (Actual & Forecast) based on the execution of Sourcing Plans for Projects and Major Expenses (O&M) Maintain a formal control to transfer funds between projects while using process detail in the CapEx Standard (STD002) in the Asset Management Framework. Analyze and evaluate deviations to budgets and forecasts of CapEx projects. Develop management reports to track and progress and inform results. Coordinate with operations the year-end Close Process – project terminations Create and manage maintenance plans for the assigned specialties related to annual and major maintenance of the plant. Create requisitions for stock items, materials and services related to major maintenance works and Capital Projects. Creation of work programs for special projects or capital investments, according to the needs and business conditions. Estimation of costs of the activities considered in the project portfolio, as well as of the activities in the reconditioning of equipment of high importance in the plant. The monitoring and obtaining of the maintenance and planning indicators, for the timely attention of the deviations. Align in conjunction with Planning and Complex Lead the CapEx Committee Align in conjunction with Fixed Asset team the projects close process. Qualifications Required 5 years or more of experience in managing Capital Expenditures. Bachelor of Finance preferable with a master's in finance. Knowledge of the planning and programming processes of maintenance activities (work management), as well as project management and asset management. Knowledge of AES policy regarding contractual aspects for contractors and service providers. To know in a general way the operative process to which it will be attending the maintenance activities. Knowledge about methodologies such as preventive, predictive maintenance, RCM (maintenance directed to reliability), TPM (total productive maintenance) etc. Know the plant safety requirements for the application of the same actions found. Preparation of reports for operational management, financial knowledge, preparation and control of budgets, development and management of databases KPI Tracking Advanced knowledge of the SAP system, PS, PLM, IM modules. Advanced knowledge of AES Planning System Tool. OpEx and CapEx financial knowledge and cashflow forecast. Advanced English. Availability to travel inside and outside the country.
