As the Maintenance Technician you will: Repair and provide preventive maintenance to all production equipment and troubleshoots facilities equipment, when needed. Be responsible of correcting machine problems to minimize downtime. Read diagrams, sketches, blueprints, operation manuals and manufacturing specifications. Operate drill press, grinders, welding equipment and other tools to make repairs, when needed. Complete the documentation of the PM's and work orders in Maximo or applicable quality documents & logbooks. Work together with outside contractors giving service to manufacturing equipment. Support the installation and startup of new equipment, as requested by the supervisor. Assemble and install any electrical device, control equipment and wiring used in manufacturing area. Follow current compliance regulations and standards and comply with all federal regulated programs. Support ETHICON Production System (EPS) by identifying, evaluating and resolving problems. Perform special projects of the same responsibility as instructed by the supervisor to achieve company goals. Perform other duties of the same responsibility requested by the supervisor/facilitator. An Associate's Degree in Electronic Technology, Electronics, Industrial Mechanics or related technical field with at least two (2) years of experience in a regulated industry or Bachelor's Degree in Electronic Technology, Electronics, Industrial Mechanics or related technical field is required. Electrician and Refrigeration License is preferred. Trainings or certifications in Lean Manufacturing is a plus. Strong electrical, electronic, pneumatic and hydraulic knowledge and troubleshooting skills are preferred. Basic PLC knowledge and ability to read schematics is preferred. Experience in an automated Pharma and or Medical Devices manufacturing environment is desired. Must be fluent in English and Spanish (read, write and speak). PC literacy including MS Office and use of other software and applications. MAXIMO knowledge highly desirable. Must have Basic Metrology, Basic Statistics, Analytic Troubleshooting (ATS), Technical Writing and Good Documentation Practices.
