Manager, Manufacturing Engineering

Summary: Principal Responsibilities: Ensure a safe and healthy work environment; seek and act on opportunities for improvement. Ensure staff is properly trained and are in compliance with company policies and procedures. Identify, implement and report critical process control and monitoring methodologies. Identify, justify, execute and report cost reductions to improve quality and performance including automation opportunities, alternate material selections and qualification, and defect reduction. Support manufacturing change management activities through the execution and reporting of test plans, protocols and reports consistent with company SOPs. Oversee engineering documentation and specification preparation, submission and approval to insure accuracy and completeness. Lead and report progress of key projects using appropriate methodologies to ensure continuous and measurable improvement. Manage resources and delegate tasks to ensure the successful completion of assigned projects. Provide manufacturing insight and project deliverables for new or modified production projects and insure timely transition into manufacturing, with consideration to design, cost effectiveness and process validation. Supervise, lead and manage manufacturing engineers and technicians to ensure product quality, delivery, and cost to meet or exceed customer expectations. Support, monitor and improve site specific manufacturing preventive maintenance procedures and results; seek and act on gaps or improvement opportunities. Candidate Education: Required Bachelor's Degree Engineering or technical discipline Preferred Other Post graduate degree and advanced training Candidate Experience: Required 5 years Manufacturing experience Preferred 5 years Manufacturing experience in the medical device industry LI-TN1 SDL2017
