We are looking for an innovative engineering manager to be part of our Cell Media Manufacturing Operation at Yauco.
The Manager Process Engineering, Cell Media will be responsible for defining and implementing the industrial and infrastructure resources needed to manufacturing, according to the goals in terms of quality, costs, time schedule and compliance.
Main Responsibilities & Tasks:
Define the prioritization and implement the projects of industrialization, continuous improvement and process development according to the expectations of the departments (manufacturing, quality, marketing, product development), in consistency with the global Engineering Strategy
Manage the team in order to ensure the skills matrix and the development of the team
Lead process optimizations and continuous improvement initiatives
Support investigations and process deviations
Validate with the Management the projects' relevance, the technological and financial options
Ensure the implementation of the projects of industrializations, from the definition of the technical requirements to the implementation and the final qualification of the projects
Ensure the implementation of new manufacturing processes
Pilot the process design of custom media and buffers
Supervise industrial transfers
Propose and monitor the budget of investments
Qualifications & Skills:
BS in Engineering discipline is required.
Masters degree in a relevant engineering discipline is preferred.
Demonstrable experience (5 years) managing engineering teams within a manufacturing site is required.
Experience in pharma or biotechnology, or cell culture media processes is preferred
Strong skills in continuous improvement and operational excellence.
Lean Six Sigma certification is a plus
Strong skills in project management
Leadership, management skills
Fluent in English and Spanish
