Schedules and directs production, ensures that quality levels are maintained and controls expenses/.RESPONSIBILITIES:Within the limits of company policy, recommends, advises and assists the Operations Manager in all matters relating to the operation of the Bactec Sensor and Bactec Media Manufacturing Department/.Plans, organizes and controls Bactec Sensor and Bactec Media operations, including production improvements, inventory control, production scheduling, staffing, employee relations, safety, costs, quality control and validation/.Maintains high product quality to ensure zero product recall attributable to the Manufacturing department/.Ensures that manufacturing operations and procedures are followed properly and documented, and comply with QSR/GMP and ISO regulations through training and audit procedures/.Provides for and reviews reports pertaining to production, inventories, scheduling, variances, costs, efficiencies, safety, plant security and personnel/.Provides adequate control over manpower planning and development to meet managements requirements for the attainment of plant goals/.In conjunction with Planner, prepares production plans for Bactec line to ensure adequate supply of finished products at Distribution Center, no product back orders or excess inventories/.Reviews SAP production orders as to assure GI, GR and confirmations are completed/. Performs TECOs/.Reviews SAP reports such as: negative stocks, orders for TECO, past due orders/.Reviews back order report to prioritize manufacturing activities/.Reviews Batch Records and other documentation for Bactec Sensor and Bactec Media department/.Schedules or conducts and documents Procedures, QSR/GMP, ISO and Safety training for personnel/.Generates supplies requisitions/.Generates maintenance work orders/.Gives support to the company payroll system/.Responsible for protection and maintenance of equipment and facilities under his control in accordance with company standards; ensures proper employee training and equipment usage/.In conjunction with the Human Resources Leader, ensures that Division and Corporate policies and procedures are consistently interpreted and implemented towards all employees and ensures that all employees are aware of the corporate filing with regards to the EEO/Affirmative Action Program/.Contributes to the superior quality of the company and its product through participation and cooperation with quality related projects and programs/. Fully bilingual, Spanish/-English/.Experience:Knowledge of formulation, production and packaging processes, equipment layout, capabilities and limitations/. Should have knowledge of high speed filling lines in addition to a working knowledge of plant maintenance, accounting and general office functions/. Knowledge of process validation protocols and procedures/.Five to ten years of experience in manufacturing with emphasis on medical products and knowledge of FDA Regulations /(QSR/GMP, GLP, etc/./), OSHA and employee relations/.
